An Intelligent Tutoring System is a program created to aid learners with any troubles that they may come across and also to help them improve within the area that they system is working in. These system are a means to help students whenever a teacher is unavailable to help them and can even help them with more specialised issues so that the teacher can focus on bigger issues.

When it comes to creating an ITS for this particular study unit a number of factors need to be considered. These factors include the framework to be chosen, the model type that will be used as well as any aspects of teaching that need to be adapted for it so that it may operate in a way that is more optimal for the students.

With regards to the framework for this particular Constructivism can be used. With this framework, users would be given tasks that allow can be accomplished in a way that is unique to each individual student. This would give students more freedom when they are working and researching these topics.

The system can make use of the Pedagogical Model to ensure that the student is being taught using the best teaching strategy for that particular student. This model will also ensure that any problems encountered by students are resolved while giving an appropriate amount of feedback to make sure that they understand the ways in which they can improve their performance.

When it comes to adapting teaching elements to the system several functions may be added to improve the experience of the user and give them more assistance. The ITS would need to be able to provide the user with feedback from the user analytics. It would do so by checking the areas that the user is performing worse in and giving them tips on how they can improve. The ITS would also need to adapt to the user's preferred style of learning to ensure that they would be understanding all of the content clearly. The system would also need to be able to take user feedback and be able to make any necessary amendments to ensure that the student is being taught in the best way possible.
