Abstract

In the new millennium, younger business people are more entrepreneurial ventures and technology based than previous generations. Today, entrepreneurs have an absolute belief in the impact of technology and business intelligence capabilities in sustaining their entrepreneurship. On the other hand, they believe that social media usage enhances entrepreneurship. Despite the importance of these capabilities and social media usage in improving and sustaining entrepreneurship, there is a lack of empirical evidence in the Bahrain context. Therefore, this study came to examine the impact of business intelligence capabilities and social media usage impact on sustainable entrepreneurship in Bahrain. After referring to the related literature review, a theoretical framework was presented. The proposed interlinks offered by the theoretical framework were tested. A questionnaire was adapted from existing studies to gather data from the studied sample. Ninety-two entrepreneurs in Bahrain were invited randomly to participate in this study. After conducting the study, sixty-six valid questionnaires were retrieved, yielding a response rate of 0.72 percent. The data were analyzed by Excel, SPSS, and SmartPLS. The results revealed that independent variables (business intelligence capabilities and social media usage) have significant impacts on sustainable entrepreneurship. This study offers practical and theoretical implications.
