Abstract

COVID-19 catalyzed significant changes in organizational culture. Remote work emerged as a key strategy within the organizational transformation. The shift toward remote work can discernibly impact employee engagement and performance. This study aimed to investigate the impact of organizational change on remote working within organizations and its subsequent influence on employee engagement and performance. Employing a survey-based methodology, this research gathered responses from a diverse sample of employees (N = 108) representing different sectors and regions in the United Arab Emirates. The study findings reveal that remote working significantly affects employee performance and engagement. These results contribute valuable insights into the evolving dynamics of the modern workplace and offer practical implications for organizations seeking to optimize remote work arrangements to enhance employee performance and engagement.
