Mimesis, synthesis and reflexivity as a hierarchy of teaching

When i looked at the meaning of these types of teaching startegy, at first I automatically linked them with specific subject. Mimesis- languages, synthesis math and sciences, and reflexivity in creative subjects. As i look into them more they remind me of a number of models of teaching such as Gagnes hierarchy of learning that has verbal association as a step lower down leading up to concept learning and the problem solving. This is similar to the idea of mimesis as a first step of introduction, synthesis to understand the rules of the concept and then reflexivity to apply the learning. this is also seen mirrored in SOLO taxonomy and Blooms taxonomy. These modes of teaching can be used to increase complexity of teaching concepts. It could also be used flipped starting the reflexivity and dropping down to synthesis and Mimesis if students need support.
