New Learning MOOC’s Updates
Edtech: The new transformative/reflective pedagogy education for future learning (Discussion Forum: Essential Update #7)
Again, as we remember, reflexivity is characterized by being the type of pedagogy that best adapts to the current context since it seeks to solve problems through the practice of co-design. In this type of pedagogy, students are producers of knowledge and must share decision-making designs with their teachers in order to create a shared agency of knowledge. This is a well-thought-out system where both the student and the teacher seek to obtain a specific result, so it is a type of planned teaching with a clear sense of social responsibility that designs a product that seeks to provide solutions to a current reality and that needs to obtain criticism and feedback from the collective.
Now I would like to introduce Edtech as an example of reflexive pedagogy. Educational Technology combines hardware and software with the best educational theories and practices. Its importance lies in the fact that it helps students find ways of learning that fit their needs, abilities and interests, which results in a way of empowering the learner. Some examples of Educational Technologies are:
1- Visual technology: interactive whiteboards, screencasting and webcasting.
2- Devices: such as Chromebooks and iPads, they are also used in the rest of the world.
3- Virtual learning spaces: from Zoom to Google Classroom
4- Educational software: learning programs such as BrainPop or Amplify, Kahoot! and Duolingo.
5- Evaluation and data analysis systems: that allow educators to have a better idea of student progress, some of which are, for example, Thrive Assessments and Civitas Learning.
These tools provide technological learning and assessment facilities for both teachers and students.

Platforms like Google Classroom or Zoom allow teachers and students to share information, resources, and ideas in real time. It promotes collaboration and learning.
Educational Software: Programs like Duolingo or Kahoot! can make learning interesting and interactive. They also allow teachers and students to create their own educational materials and assignments.
