Abstract

Proceedings of the Seventeenth International Conference on the Arts in Society, hosted by the San Jorge University, Zaragoza, Spain, 4-6 July 2022. The conference featured research addressing the following special focus: “History/Histories: From the Limits of Representation to the Boundaries of Narrative” and annual themes: • Theme 1: Pedagogies of the Arts. Teaching and learning through and about the arts. • Theme 2: Arts Histories and Theories. Interrogating arts histories, theories, paradigms and frameworks for critical analysis. • Theme 3: New Media, Technology, and the Arts. Making sense of emerging technologies, their practices, and agents. • Theme 4: The Arts in Social, Political, and Community Life. Addressing social, political, and community agendas in the arts.
