total of 115 aspirational districts have been identified by Government of India across its 28 states.Broad contours of the programme are Convergence (of Central & State Schemes), Collaboration (of Central, State level ‘Prabhari’ Officers & District Collectors), and Competition among districts driven by a mass movement. With States as the main drivers, this program will focus on the strength of each district, identify low-hanging fruits for immediate improvement, measure progress, and rank districts.

Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (GSA): This campaign, undertaken under the name of “Sabka Sath, Sabka Gaon, Sabka Vikas”, is to promote social harmony, spread awareness about pro-poor initiatives of government, reach out to poor households to enrol them as also to obtain their feedback on various welfare programmes. As a special endeavour during the Gram Swaraj Abhiyan, saturation of eligible households/persons will be ensured under seven flagship pro-poor programmes, namely, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Saubhagya, Ujala scheme, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Mission Indradhanush.

During the phase of “Gram Swaraj Abhiyan”, 115 aspirational districts have been planned for saturation of various government schemes. While GSA is targeting 45,167 villages in these aspirational districts, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare will conduct three rounds of Mission Indradhanush (MI) in entire 115 districts, and not limited to the identified villages, as per the following schedule to intensify routine immunization activities.

1st Round: from 16th July 2018
2nd Round: from 13th August 2018
3rd round: from 10th September 2018

States will ensure that each Mission Indradhanush round is conducted for 7 working days, excluding RI days, Sunday and holidays. Mission Indradhanush aims to achieve full immunization 0f >90%.
