  I am excited to be a part of the University of Illinois Learning Community. A little about me: I am a science enthusiast and a professional development junkie. I recently attended the National Science Teachers Association National Conference in L.A. and met the author of The Martian! This upcoming year I am teaching math, but I am very excited because math is the language of science. I am coming up on the one year anniversary of my wedding to my wonderful, super supportive husband. Just being in this program has helped me be a better educator everyday. It has made me self-aware of more aware of where my students are coming from.
