Update 2: The impact of lower IQ on criminals

Individuals who have a lower IQ are more likely to commit a crime then people with a higher IQ. There has been a clear connection between peoples IQ’s and whether or not they will be convicted for a crime. Being that these individuals are not as intelligent, those individuals have a hard time with making good decisions. Individuals with low intelligence cannot fully comprehend the consequences of a criminal act and the impact that it will have on their lives. It is believed that when you have a higher IQ you are taught how to differentiate right and wrong and preventing yourself from a wrong or negative situation.    

Criminals with lower IQ decision making skills plays a vital role in the types of behavior and activities that they are involved in. Criminals tend to put their selves in terrible situations allowing the outcome to be negative because the lack of understanding cause and effect. Individuals with higher IQ’s tend to be able to think out situations and have a better balance of making good decisions. People with higher IQ tend to know the law, they know the impact of decision making skills and how one decision can change and the effect the course of their life. Individuals with higher intelligence are able to comprehend and use their knowledge of understanding on a daily basis. This helps those individuals make good decisions on a daily basis. Communication plays a major role and is also something that set individuals with higher IQ apart from those with lower IQ. Having a lower IQ obviously effects and has an impact on how information is processed. Criminals that have lower intelligence do not fully understand the outcome of a bad decision and the impact of how their decision making skills will affect the rest of their life.
