Comment: Comment on at least three other people's updates.
As mentioned in the readings, Greece's financial crisis definitely took a toll on Greece's education system. It was mentioned that Schools in Greece face serious operational difficulties that also affect lesson quality (Vergeti et al, 2018). This is one of the many impacts of the financial crisis in Greece. Without proper lesson quality, students are not receiving the best education possible, which can ultimatly affect student achievement rates. Also, the number of supplies and resources were reduced in schools like copy paper, field trips, etc. The article mentioned how printing supplies have been reduced significantly as well as structured school events, such as field trips, which are meant to enhance student education as well as the educational experience. Finally, another issue that Greece's financial crisis has brought up is in regard to staffing. It was stated that “there are teacher shortages for the all-day school, the remedial teaching programme and for the subjects: 2nd foreign language, ICTs and music. (Vergeti et al, 2018). As you can see, the financial crisis in Greece has significantly impacted Greece's education system. I look forward to learning a lot more about this subject while in Greece very soon!
