EDUC 499: Greece - Summer 2019’s Updates
Annotated Bibliography
I chose to explore topic 3 "What does diversity mean in Greece" because diversity integration has been an essential topic of interest for me during my Master's program. My goal is to continue to work with educators and school staff developing policies, programs, and opportunities, promoting collaboration and exchange. Exploring this topic gave me a chance to learn more about Greek's identity and how they react to diversity.
Hi!
I enjoyed reading about diversity in Greece, as I also chose this topic. I specifically enjoyed your summary of the article on differences between gender roles over time and the gap. I think it is interesting that there is a large gap in jobs for men and women, yet men and women are both expected to live about the same amount of time. I'm excited to see some of the things you mentioned first-hand.
I am also looking at what diversity mean in Greece and I think its interesting how it is constructed so differently than it is in the US. I also noticed an emphasis on religion and religious identity where as Americans usually construct diversity along racial lines.
