Artificial Intelligence, Public Procurement and Social Market Economy: New Frontiers for Innovation and Sustainability in the Public Sector

Abstract

The study analyses the impact of the digital revolution and artificial intelligence (AI) on economic, social and legal transformations, with specific attention to Big Data and its management. It examines how AI can improve the efficiency of public services, particularly in the field of public procurement, which represents an important lever to promote sustainable growth and the social market economy of the European Union. The work also takes into account the Italian regulatory framework, highlighting the importance of transparency and human control in algorithmic decisions.
