Summarize

Boeny is part of the 22 regions of Madagascar. Situated in the West part, it is composed of six districts.

In terms of immunization, for the 1st quarter of this year, the performance is still low.

The graph below shows the performance of the region by Antigen

There are still a large number of unvaccinated children.

In response to this situation, I chose MOV which in my opinion and by referring to the context can improve performance and can lead us to achieve our goal

SWOT ANALYSIS

Strengths

• Note from the Ministry of Health on the implementation of daily vaccination for health facilities with functional refrigerators; and another note on the imperative implementation of the mobile strategy and the strategy advanced by health workers
• Existence of management tools
• The implementation of the different campaigns

Weaknesses

• Isolation: the villages attached to the health center are far from the center, and are difficult to access which hampers the supply of vaccine
• Insufficient human resources (several centers are held by a single health worker)
• Insecurity
• Demotivation of health workers
• There is also the management of vaccines like VAR and BCG
• Non-functional refrigerators in health centers
• Poor planning of advanced strategies with the community
• Poor quality of data

Opportunities

• Existence of community health workers
• Media involvement
• Support from technical and financial partners (UNICEF, OMS, GAVI, USAID)
