  I hold a BA degree in English Language and Literature from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. I graduated with an MA in Translation Studies (with Distinction) from Surrey University, UK. I received my PhD (with Distinction) from the Ionian University in Greece where I completed my thesis on "Anglophony in France and Germany: a geocultural analysis in the first decade of the 21st century". My research interests include ELF, ELT, international relations, EU affairs, public and cultural diplomacy, global citizenship. I have taught English in higher military education institutions and public institutes of vocational training. I started teaching English in lower secondary education in 2006.
