Providing education has for a long time been done insitu. This approach to education and learning is restrictive and requires that the instructor and students are in the same site often times in a classroom.

The challenge with providingand managing knowledge in this model has proved inadequate in giving students access to a variety of knowledge sources as well as according them flexibity in choosing the mode of study. Digital learning comes in handy to solve the challenges faced by the face to face learning system.

I am currently working on a project that delivers university education to a group of marginalized youth from kenya and Somalia. My experience in the project has taught me that it is possible to provide university education to a wider group of people if the universities are willing to adopt digital learning as an option.

My participation in this course shall equip me with skills in development of courses as well as in helping the students to succeed in their online courses.
