Its a rather gloomy day here in Bangkok. Its rare to have a gloomy day in Bangkok, where the sun shines most of the time.

Its February and the temprtures are not very hot, and its certainly not cold!! Its warm, slightly less than toasty! The Asia Pacific regional office of the ACT Alliance was established in Bangkok in October 2015, which is when I joined the Alliance as the regional representative for the Asia Pacific Region. Our work is under the three pillars Humanitarian response, development, and advocacy. In a region that is very prone to natural disasters, we are kept on our toes! In the development arena, we look closely at climate change, resilience, gender justice and inequalities. The SDGs are a lens which is being increasingly used as means to address and to enage with states on the issues.

Advocacy is almost cross cutting as it involves humaitarian advacacy as well as advocacy in all the isues we work on in development.
