  Jacqui McKoy-Lewens is a Creative Arts Psychotherapist, University Lecturer, Musician/Vocalist and Choir Director living and working in the North of England. She has worked for many years as a community arts and music educator for UK educational organisations such as Yorkshire Youth & Music, various City Councils  and as a music advisor for the Arts Council of England. Since training as an Arts Psychotherapist, she now uses her community project work, (both visual arts and music ), with various community arts and choral groups as a means to assessing group dynamics and how creativity can inform varied communication styles. She has a special interest in inter-generational group-work, where families engage in shared creative activities. Her professional roles have included creative engagement within the NHS , forensic and private health organisations, corporate and educational organisations - most of these developing creative arts/music training programs to facilitate team cohesion for patients, educators, therapists, general practitioners and other healthcare providers. Ms. McKoy-Lewens continues to offer eduational and creative practice support to arts and music students as well as trainee Arts therapists whilst enaging in her own creative practice.
