I hold a Doctorate from the Westminster School of Art—a published feminist scholar with research and international speaking conference experience. My research interests are visual sociology, visual anthropology, photo theory, online visual cultures, digital cultures, diversity arts discourses, visual criminology, visual violence, surveillance, censorship and identity. More recently, I publish about the function of the image in rape culture, misogyny, sexual violence, and the #MeToo movement in the context of 1990s rural Australia. I predominately use auto-ethnography as a feminist research methodology with a mixed methodical approach of social media content analyses, arts-based research and qualitative research methodologies.
