My name is Dr Kamalakar Arjun Lashkare & I am from India. I work for WHO - NPSP. The NPSP stands for National Public Health Surveillance Project. This project initially was known as National Polio Surveillance Project & had started with the aim of Eradication of Polio in India. Now after successfully completing Polio Certification of India in 2014, its name has changed from Polio to Public Health project.

I feel myself as a true Public Health person & really enjoys my work. I have so far worked on following areas & wish to work on lot many areas of Public health.

- Polio Eradication

- Kala Azar Elimination

- Varoius research studies on seroprevalence of polio antibodies in children below 2 years in polio endemic areas, Measles Case fatality rate estimation studies

- New vaccine introductions in Universal Immunization programme of India, (Pentavalent , IPV & MR vaccine introductions).

- Mass Vaccination campaigns- Polio Supplementary Immunization activities, Measles Rubella Vaccination Campaign, Measles Mass vaccination Campaign

- Special Campaigns to boost routine Immunization in India like Mission Indradhanush.
