Associate Professor and Contemporary Dance Administrator at Brigham Young University, has worked in both secondary and post-secondary dance settings for the past 30+ years. Her interests and areas of expertise encompass both dance education and dance science. Her research has often focused on gender-related issues of dancers in adolescence and young adulthood; she is particularly passionate about educating and giving voice to girls and women. She recently ended a four year assignment as Artistic Director of DancEnsemble, a student driven dance company offering experiences in choreography and concert performance. Pam also believes in the power of collaboration as an educational tool and has created various collaborative works inspired by personal and shared issues. She has presented and published nationally and internationally on collaborative projects and processes as they relate to pedagogy. She is the recipient of a three-year university fellowship that awards teaching, learning, and mentoring activities. She teaches dance education and dance science courses and has taught internationally in China and India. Pam served a six-year term on the NDEO Board of Directors and currently serves on the Editorial Boards for the Journal of Dance Education and Arts Education Policy Review.
