Kathy L. Andersen is the founding Executive Director of the Global Institute for Community Health and Development at the University of Miami. The Global Institute is led by the Miller School of Medicine with the support of schools throughout the university. Prior to joining the University of Miami, Ms. Andersen held executive management positions in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. Ms. Andersen holds a Master in Public Administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and is a Lucius N. Littauer Fellow of the Kennedy School. Ms. Andersen has undertaken Executive Education Programs at Harvard University in areas including Governance, Non-Profit Management, and Leadership. Ms. Andersen also holds a Bachelor of Business with Distinction from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia; and a post-graduate qualification in Management with Distinction from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.
