Felicia Chan is Lecturer in Screen Studies at the University of Manchester. Her research explores the construction of national, cultural and cosmopolitan imaginaries in cinema, as well as the influence of institutional and industrial practices on the production, distribution and reception of film. She has published in several journals and edited volumes, including Chinese Films in Focus I & II (ed. Chris Berry, BFI 2003, 2009) and Theorizing World Cinema (eds. Lucia Nagib et al., I.B. Tauris 2012). She is also co-editor of Genre in Asian Film and Television: New Approaches (Palgrave Macmillan 2011) and founding member of the Chinese Film Forum UK.
