University of St. Thomas
The University of St. Thomas offers a M.S.W. program jointly with St. Catherine University, listed above. If you are interested in sociology, this is perhaps the best of the Catholic colleges in Minnesota offering a related graduate degree. The combined resources of St. Catherine and St. Thomas make for a strong program; you need to consider carefully, however, which university most draws your interest.
Saint Mary's University of Minnesota
Saint Mary's University of Minnesota is a comprehensive Catholic university located in Winona. Its programs that might be of interest to a sociology student include a M.A. in Counseling and Psychological Services and a M.A. in Health and Human Services Administration. Saint Mary's is well-known for its academic rigor as well as its affordability, making both these degrees a great option.
Although the state of Minnesota does not provide many options for students considering a graduate degree in pure or academic sociology from a Catholic college, many great related do my essay programs are available. Students looking at Catholic colleges and sociology have to consider if either their educational preferences or their career goals are more flexible. If the latter, then any of the colleges listed above are great options.
Be sure to do your research about a school before you apply in order to make sure that it will be a good fit for you. If you are looking for a large school with a variety of degree options for a low price, a public college may be just the ticket. If you are looking for a college with smaller classes and a more personal touch, you may want to look at a private college. In either case, you can find a college that provides excellent programs in the areas you have an interest. When it comes time to apply, knowing what you are looking for, what makes you unique, and what you can bring to a college can help you to distinguish yourself and gain admission to both the public and private colleges to which you apply.
