Who I am?

• My name is Denisa Georgiana Janta from Romania and I am a medical doctor- epidemiologist. In 2013 I graduated EPIET a ECDC training program.

• What I do ?

In the present time I am involved in the surveillance of AEFI, rubella and hepatitis A, monitoring vaccination cold chain events. In the past as EPIET fellow I participated in a research project regarding Vaccination coverage where we estimated the coverage in one Romania district using LQAS method and we compared the results with the method use routinely to estimate the vaccination coverage for vaccines from the National Immunisation Program. In 2015, in Romania was conducted with the help of WHO a EVM assessment, where I was involved. After this assessment I participated at the creation of SOP's regarding vaccine cold chain for Romania. I was involved in 2011-2012 in the rubella outbreak from my country and in the assessments done to estimate outbreak economic impact and the costs of the SRC cases related with the outbreak.

• How is the analysis and interpretation of vaccination coverage survey indicators relevant to my work?

Taking into account that I work with preventable diseases , I participate in the classification of AEFI and data analyses I am very interested to improve my knowledge's and understanding about analysis and interpretation of vaccination coverage survey indicators
