Candace Vance has been seen on many professional stages in the United States, notably Taproot Theatre Company (Lady Chiltern in An Ideal Husband, Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, Aldonza in Man of La Mancha, among many others), Seattle Shakespeare Company (Mistress Ford in Merry Wives of Windsor), Seattle Children's Theatre (Muriel in Nicky Somewhere Else), Seattle Public Theatre (among others Mary in The Language Archive, Chloe in The 13th of Paris, Paula in My Wonderful Day-Footlight Award Recipient), Book-It Repertory Company, and Repertory Actors Theatre. Ms. Vance has also enjoyed working internationally, particularly as Julieta in the National Tour/Spain of Romeo y Julieta, and in The Quality of Mercy: A Tour of Love Through Shakespeare's Words in Paris, France. Ms. Vance's acting has been celebrated both by critics and audiences alike. She has also directed numberous productions, including The Pageant by Grammy award winning composer Mateo Messina at Benaroya Hall. Ms. Vance is also a professionally produced playwright; Taproot Theatre Company produced her original play with music, Le Club Noel, in 2013 and at that time it was the highest selling production in the company's 35 year history. Ms. Vance serves as the Head of Performance in the Theatre Department at Seattle Pacific University, is a member in several American and International professional unions/organizations, and has received numerous distinctions. Her favorite distinction remains wife of Sam Vance and proud mom to Max, Echo, and Zoe.
