Aliza Akmar Omar is a Senior Lecturer with the Faculty of Management of Multimedia University in Malaysia. She holds a doctorate from the same university where she is also a researcher with the Centre for Knowledge and Innovation Management (CEKIM). Her research and teaching interests are in the general area of strategy – with particular interest in those of networks, alliances and other collaborative arrangements and a focus on their dynamics, governance and policy issues. She is an active co-author of several international journal publications and conference proceedings. She recently completed a project, funded by the Intensified Research in Priority Areas (IRPA) Grant Scheme, under Malaysia‟s Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), entitled “Malaysia‟s MSC Flagships: The Policy-Driven Inter-Organisational Network Approach to Developing Competencies”.
