Hi, everyone! My name is Sragdharamalini and I am from India. I completed my M.A. in English from Manipal Centre for Humanities last year and am currently working in the EdTech industry. I am also an independent researcher interested in South Asian studies and plan to apply for a Ph.D. for Fall 2024. Besides using various social media platforms every now and then for both informational and entertainment purposes, my two constant encounters with digital media are in terms of reading scholarly articles and conducting e-coaching classes. Much of the methods I use to conduct online classes have been informed by my own experience with the online mode during the COVID-19 period when the entire world careened towards e-teaching practices. While e-learning allows much more flexibility to the students in terms of timings and location, I do feel that bandwidth problems as well as inexperience with the platform may severely hamper the learning experience. Having just started out as an online educator, I believe that this course will help me gain the skills required for creating optimal learning environments for my students.
