Ubiquitous Learning and Instructional Technologies MOOC’s Updates
The Logic of Assessment Influence the Logic of Education and the Learners' Creation of Videos as an Assessment Technology.
Discussion
Assessment is a central feature of teaching and learning. It powerfully frames how students learn and what students achieve. It is one of the most significant influences on students' experiences and all that they gain from it. The reason for an expkicit focus on improving assessment practice is the huge impact that it has on the quality of learning.
Assessment is more effective when it is used to engage students in learning that is productive. Assessment tasks must be designed to direct students'attention to what needs to be learned and to the activities that best lead to this.
Feedback must be used to improve students' learning. It must be informative and supportive. It can facilitate a positive attitude to future learning. Students must receive not just marks and grades, but information about how to improve the quality of their work.
Students and teachers become responsible partners in learning and assessment. Students judge the quality of their own work and the work of others.
There must be dialogue and interaction about assessment processes.
Assessment has most effect when certification accurately and richly portrays graduates' and students' achievements to inform future careers and learning.

Update
Describe and evaluate an Innovative Assessment Approach or Technology.
In this digital world, learners are not just consumer of videos, they can also be producers as well. With smart phones, tablets, laptops or cameras, students can create videos to share their opinions and skills. They can use videos to document their knowledge, reflect on their learning process and teach others how to do new things.
There are different kinds of videos.
Learning product videos. These videos can be summative assignments that students create to demonstrate their learning. They can explain the process of doing something.
Response videos. The teacher asks a question about the lesson and students record a video answer.
Tutorial videos. Tutorials are a great way for students to show deep understanding of a skill, practice or concept. They not only know how to do something but can teach others how to do it.
Creating videos can give the students the opportunity to show what they know, and share their works with their peers, facilitators, relatives and friends. Learners can also give the best of themselves to get a grade for their works.

How the technology of assessment i.e learner's video creation helps assessing learning of students is not properly explained. How learners' understanding qualitatively measured by this technology has not been explained in a comparative way showing how this technology assessment can improve students' learning and improves overall education as a whole.
Teacher student dialogue and exchange between students and assessing this way lead to what improvement and how it differs from other traditional assessments has not been shown. Also 'how' this type of assessment is better has not been illustratively shown with suitable examples.
