Enhancing Website Functionality for Sustainable Development in Digital Consumer Engagement

Abstract

In the digital era, website quality plays a crucial role in fostering sustainable development in consumer engagement. This study explores the impact of website functionality—encompassing content quality, system performance, and service reliability—on building consumer e-loyalty in e-commerce platforms. By analyzing both business-to-consumer (B2C) and consumer-to-consumer (C2C) websites, this research develops a model that links website quality elements to consumer satisfaction and trust, which are pivotal in driving both attitudinal and behavioral e-loyalty. Findings reveal that enhancements in website quality significantly contribute to sustainable digital engagement by retaining and encouraging repeat consumer interactions. Moreover, this study emphasizes that continuous improvement of website functionalities leads to long-term e-loyalty, thus supporting sustainable business growth through improved user experience and satisfaction. The conclusions offer valuable insights for website developers and business owners aiming to create high-quality, user-centric platforms that align with sustainable development goals in digital commerce.
