Abstract
This research paper presents an analysis of the complex interplay of economy, politics, and religious education in Bangladesh. The study examines the ways in which these three factors interact with and influence each other, utilising a combination of primary and secondary sources of data, including surveys, interviews, and relevant literature. The research reveals that economy, politics, and religious education are tightly interwoven in Bangladesh, with each factor exerting a significant impact on the others. The paper highlights the role of religious education in shaping the political and economic landscape of the country, as well as the influence of political and economic factors on religious education. To understand the influence of the interplay of politics, economy and religious education, this paper addresses two questions, firstly, how did the political system shape religious education and vice versa in the country? And secondly, what are the policy implications of the complex interplay between economics, politics, and religious education in Bangladesh? Based on these findings, the paper concludes with recommendations for policymakers and stakeholders to effectively address the challenges and opportunities arising from the complex interplay of economics, politics, and religious education in Bangladesh.
