Abstract
This workshop explores building a personal and community eco-kinship with the natural world through engaging Dr. Robin Wall Kimmerer’s Honorable Harvest discussed in Braiding Sweetgrass within a daily practice of nature journaling for all; drawing experience not required. Participants will create an eco-printed nature journal and practice a variety of prompts to explore creative eco connections. Pedagogical themes of eco-justice and environmental sustainability as practiced by Indigenous artists will provide further inspiration for creative exploration. This presentation offers various methods to connect with the natural world, empowering us to see ourselves as part of nature and to use art and reflection to become eco change makers.
