Michael Simms is a proud Seminole Indian and has served as the Cultural Coordinator for the Council of Three Rivers American Indian Center for the past 15 years. In this role, he leads the organization’s cultural outreach and education efforts, coordinating the annual Native American Pow Wow and managing the Speakers Bureau, which brings Native voices and stories into schools, organizations, and community events.
Michael is an experienced powwow participant who has traveled extensively across the United States and parts of Canada. As a Northern Traditional dancer and accomplished powwow singer, he performs both Northern and Southern styles, preserving and sharing the rich musical and dance traditions of Native cultures.
With deep roots in his heritage and a lifelong commitment to cultural education and celebration, Michael continues to be a respected voice in Native American communities and beyond.
