Kinetic energy of the wind diminishes and kinetic energy of the blades increases.

Kinetic energy of the blades decrases as it does work to lift water.

Power in wind = density of air * blade diameter * velocity of air *

Often a series of energy transformations is needed to do work

Mechanical energy used to strike match is transformed first to thermal energy. 

Thermal energy causes particles in the match to release stored chemical energy. This is transformed to thermal and electromagentic energy seen as light.
