Accessibility of Sidewalk Ways

Abstract

In the heart of the city of Malolos, several constructed environment spaces are frequented by tourists and visitors from different walks of life all over the world. The historical area had existed even before the coming of the Spanish colonizers. The study focuses on the accessibility of sidewalk ways for tourists that visiting the historical area. Mixed method of research was utilized to assess the accessibility of sidewalk ways for the facility of tourists and safety. Results show that sidewalk ways designed for tourist and visitors are blocked by illegal parking, unsafe to walk due to uneven pavement, and the like. The study highly recommends to enforce policy regarding accessibility of passages in tourist destinations.
