Abstract
There is widespread concern about Artificial Intelligence (AI) use in higher education, as it may have the potential to undermine learning by diminishing decision-making ability (Ahmad et al., 2023), discouraging critical analysis and creative exploration (Al-Zahrani, 2024), and presenting students with inaccurate information. Unfortunately, resistance to this new wave of technology limits health science educators from preparing students to practice. Educators are in the unique position of being responsible for preventing the misuse of AI as an instrument of plagiarism all while helping students develop the necessary skills and experience to work effectively alongside it. While translating generative AI into all aspects of healthcare is complex (Liu, Castillo-Olea, & Berkovsky, 2024) it is imperative that professional programs consider how to integrate components into education. This session reviews the application options to enhance teaching and learning
