Featured Interpersonal Education in Undergraduate Health Students: Faculty Knowledge, Perceptions and Attitudes

Workshop Presentation
Tracy Bonoffski

Interprofessional education (IPE) is an essential approach for preparing students to enter the healthcare workforce, where teamwork and collaboration are important competencies. IPE has been promoted by numerous health organizations, to promote teamwork, enhance the quality of patient care, and improve health outcomes. In response, universities are beginning to create and sustain authentic and inclusive IPE activities, with which students can engage. Additionally, the relationship between artificial intelligence (AI) and IPE in healthcare is increasingly important as AI technologies become more integrated into medical practice and education. This project is intended to enhance IPE activities being implemented, improve student outcomes, streamline learning activities for faculty, and address the intersection of AI and IPE in this process.
