Abstract
Climate change is the most critical issue of the 21st century; the world is facing climatic changes consequences. This study analyzes the impact of funds deployed by INGOs to build the capacity of the community to face any future disaster to understand the community perspective of security and safety. Used qualitative methods of data during this study. The study found that both districts have been affected by the consequent disasters since the flood of 2010-2022. Disaster threats to north district Kashmore are river Indus and heavy rainfall in the hills of Koh-i-Suleiman. Whereas, southern district Badin, Dadu has threats from LBOD, Manchar lake hill torrents from kherthar heavy rainfall, heavy winds on the moon soon and sea storms. Frequent disasters and heat waves are increasing water logging issues. The extreme weather negatively affects the health of humans, livestock, and crops. Communities of the case group were found more secure and informed about coping mechanisms in severe weather. Control group communities were vulnerable regarding physical assets and kills /capacity to deal with upcoming disasters. To reduce the impact of disasters on the nutrition of women and children. It is essential to implement integrated projects using multiple inputs. There is a need to work on critical causes of disasters such as LBOD in district Badin. There is a need to establish a platform to share learnings among NGOs and government departments regarding related disaster risk reduction.
