Abstract
Within the field of building, engineering, and architecture, machine learning (ML), a branch of artificial intelligence (AI), is becoming increasingly common. The purpose of this comprehensive study is to look at how AI and ML may enhance the building procedure and lead to the creation of more environmentally friendly societies. By carefully examining the prior research, the present research aims to ascertain the different roles that AI and ML play in the creation of sustainable communities and building techniques. It also aims to forecast future directions in research as well as useful uses of AI and ML in buildings. The research presented here emphasises the importance that AI and ML technologies play in creating sustainable communities, both indoors and outdoors, and it does so through complying with the items that are most appropriate for review. They aid in handling energy in the interior environment by maximising energy use, identifying inefficiency, and suggesting changes to reduce usage. This helps lessen the impact of energy production on the environment. In the exact same way, environmental issues are addressed with the help of AI and ML technology. To identify and reduce pollutants as soon as possible, they may track waste disposal methods, background noise, and air quality. Similarly, the use of AI and ML in building processes improves building administration, scheduling, and design.
