Can an Artificial User Create an Intelligent Experience? : What AI Needs to Learn about UX in Learning

Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) and User experience (UX) are interconnected fields that significantly impact each other. AI is the simulation of human intelligence, so machines can perform tasks that typically require human intelligence, such as learning, reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making. AI has significantly impacted and improved user experiences across various learning environments. Conversely, UX refers to users’ overall experience interacting with a product, system, or service. This experience encompasses everything from the user interface (UI) and usability to emotional and psychological responses. When incorporated into learning, UX creates a welcoming and universal design accommodating individual learners. Integrating AI and user experience design into learning provides significant advancements and improvements.
