Abstract
In the era of digital intelligence, the integration of digital technology and social media has significantly fostered innovation in cultural activities within rural communities, attracting an increasing number of tourists. This paper presents a case study of Mingyue Village in China, exploring how poetry creation and dissemination can serve as new platforms for preserving rural culture. It enables local residents, itinerant vendors, and digital tourists to engage in and share poetry through digital spaces. The objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of these digital poetry activities on user experience. To achieve this, the research is grounded in anthropological fieldwork and employs an Unbalanced Support Vector Machine (USVM) to classify and analyze user evaluation data, delving into users’ emotional responses to these activities. The findings indicate that these poetry activities not only enhance cultural identity and community cohesion among rural residents but also foster positive emotional expression. The conclusion underscores that the digital trend of poetry as a cultural medium is both an inevitable consequence of technological advancement and a profound response to human emotional and cultural needs. Through digital poetry activities, rural communities not only enrich their cultural vitality but also attract more tourists, promoting local tourism development. Future research will focus on optimizing the use of digital technology to further integrate tourism and cultural activities, enhancing the development and cultural heritage of rural communities.
