Abstract
Improv or Improvisational theatre is a performance art which is based on the principles of spontaneity and building together (Yes-And). The improvisers go on stage without a script and create stories and scenes based on suggestions from the audience. To be able to do this, improvisers go through a set of exercises and games to develop their skills towards quick and innovative thinking and working together as an ensemble. When we map the ten top skills needed for a good improviser to that of a designer, there is a complete overlap. These skills mapped to the playful improv tools is what I have curated for this session. The participants will get a taste of improv and its usefulness in enhancing their core skills, and all this while having a lot of fun.
