Abstract
The paper examines the important role of justice in Colombia’s fight against climate change, taking into account the nation’s climate reality and the national and international commitments it has undertaken. The purpose of this paper is to analyze how Colombian legal frameworks and court rulings have responded to climate change, offering a comprehensive view of advancements, remaining challenges, and implications for sustainable development. Using document review and jurisprudence analysis, the paper reveals the results of judicial decisions that have recognized environmental rights and set precedents for responsible climate action. This paper underscores the impact of climate justice in Colombia, driving state action and citizen involvement. The implications of these advancements suggest a path toward a more resilient development model, where climate justice is solidified as a cornerstone in the transition toward greater sustainability.
