Abstract
The paper explores the multifaceted impacts of climate change on the culture and lifestyle of the people residing in the mountainous region of Nepal. Recognizing the intricate interplay between environmental shifts and socio-cultural dynamics, the study aims to elucidate how changing climatic patterns are reshaping traditional practices, beliefs, and livelihoods of the people in this vulnerable region. Employing a mixed-methods approach, including qualitative interviews, ethnographic observations, and secondary data analysis, the paper investigates the direct and indirect effects of climate change on various aspects of local culture and lifestyle. The findings is likely to highlight the vulnerability of indigenous communities to environmental stressors, as well as their resilience strategies and adaptive responses. The implications of the research extend beyond academic discourse. Understanding these effects can inform targeted policy interventions and community-based adaptation strategies to safeguard cultural heritage, promote sustainable livelihoods, and enhance resilience among vulnerable populations in similar mountainous regions worldwide. Additionally, this research underscores the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and indigenous knowledge integration in addressing the complex socio-environmental challenges posed by climate change.
